Hua Hin is known as “the dry city”. The reason is, of course, that it usually rains less here than in most other places in Thailand. In Hua Hin is the hot season between March and June. During these months the average temperature is about 30 degrees. In principle, every day, a cool breeze blows. The constant breeze, which is often particularly significant in the afternoons, is actually something that separates Hua Hin from many of the other Thai resorts. It is also this reliable breeze that made Hua Hin a world-class kite surfing destination. During the warm period, the days and nights are hot and the humidity is noticeable – often up to 90 percent. The days are usually done during the larger parts, but in the afternoons it’s not a bit cloudy. Although the tide can stand relatively high during the period, the beach is still useful, due to its width and is suitable for sunbathing.
The precipice period begins in Hua Hin between July and October. During this period, the days are usually a bit cooler than during the hot season. The average temperature is about 28 degrees. Despite the name of the season, it does not rain every day and when the rain is coming, it’s more about shedding than on sustained rainy days. Nevertheless, these bursts can be extremely powerful, with large amounts of waterfall in a short period of time. The sea is usually very quiet during the morning, but it may begin to go a little “geese” later on in the day. The beach area is extensive both during ebb and under the river.
During the cold period between November and February, the average temperature drops and reaches 26 degrees. The heat during this period is not as pressing as during the warm period.
